From January 20 to 31, 2026, a group of 35 pilgrims from France and Belgium set out to explore Vietnam. This trip, led by Fr. Joseph Dũng and organized by Bipel (a subsidiary of Bayard), provided a profoundly memorable experience on both a human and spiritual level: a way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Assumptionist mission in this country (see pages 5 and following).

Dear brothers, sisters, and friends in the Assumption family:
The Artemis 2 crew is set to return to Earth this evening after 10 days of discovery. It has made history by surpassing the record for the farthest distance human beings have traveled from Earth. Besides a marvelous success in its mission, the launch shows the unity of the human race through the diversity of the crew members. It also shows the greatness of the human mind.

On Monday evening, the Assumptionist Center community gathered to continue celebrating the joy of Easter— a time marked not only by liturgical prayer but also by shared fellowship and gratitude. Rooted in the hope of the Resurrection, the evening became a simple yet powerful expression of faith lived together.

At the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, the Assumptionist community gathered with the faithful at their parish in El Paso, Texas, to celebrate the heart of the Christian mystery: Christ’s victory over death and the promise of new life. Beginning in darkness and moving together into the light of the Easter candle, the community entered deeply into the beauty and hope of the Resurrection.

In El Paso, Texas, the celebration of the Paschal Triduum became more than a series of sacred liturgies—it became a lived experience of faith in action. For Br. Daniele Caglioni, A.A., these holy days unfolded as a retreat with Christ, rooted in prayer, service, and presence among the faithful of the local Church.

Members of the Assumptionist community recently joined the faithful of the Diocese of El Paso in a special Lenten pilgrimage to the summit of Cristo Rey, a remarkable mountain peak where Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico meet. This sacred journey, marked by prayer and reflection through the Stations of the Cross, became a powerful sign of unity that reaches beyond borders and languages.

The world we live in is really dark and desperate. The blindness of violence affects many people. Wars are happening everywhere: the war between Russia and Ukraine, the war in the Middle East, the war between Israel and Lebanon, the war between Israel and Iran, the war between the U.S. and Iran. It is difficult to admit that wars are waged by the people who claimed themselves to be civilized living in civilized societies.

Dear Partners in the Assumption Family,
We will journey into Holy Week and celebrate the Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. This is a story from darkness to light. The news of Easter begins in darkness, echoing the moment of Holy Thursday when Judas left Jesus and his friends. As Saint John wrote “it was night.”
