Help Us Create a Safe and Comfortable Home for Retired Assumptionists

As Augustinians of the Assumption, we are dedicated to serving the needs of our elderly members who have devoted their lives to spreading the message of God’s love.

However, with the decline in vocations and an increasing number of elderly members, we are facing the challenge of providing proper care and accommodation for them. That’s why we are launching the Emmanuel House Expansion and Renovation Project.

The Emmanuel House expansion and renovation project is an ambitious endeavor aimed at significantly improving the living conditions of our beloved elderly members. Our goal is to create a safe and healthy environment where they can thrive and remain integral to our community.

At 50 Old English Road, our elderly members currently reside in a house that falls short of providing them with the safe and comfortable living conditions they deserve. A few years ago, a thorough property assessment revealed several issues, including pervasive mold and a lack of handicap accessibility.

We have carefully designed the project to address these issues and the specific needs of our elderly members, offering modern and reliable amenities that promote “aging in place.” With your support, we can provide a place where they can live independently but with minimal health and nursing care assistance or supervision.

The expanded Emmanuel House will have the capacity to accommodate up to six elderly members, ensuring that they have a comfortable and supportive living space. But this project is more than just housing; it’s about creating a multi-functional space that benefits both active and elderly members.

Construction began in the fall of 2022, and we expect the project to be completed by the summer of 2023, and occupancy starting in the fall of 2023. Time is of the essence, and your contribution will directly impact the lives of our elderly members.

To make this vision a reality, we need your help.

The project requires a total investment of $1,950,000, with $1.7 million allocated for construction and $250,000 for additional expenses such as air conditioning, furnishings, and moving costs.

Thanks to the sale of our property at 50 Old English Road, we have secured the initial $1.7 million investment. Now, we are relying on the generosity of individuals like you to contribute the remaining funds.

You can support the Emmanuel House Expansion and Renovation Project in several ways.

Cash donations, pledges, gifts of appreciated assets, matching gifts, and legacy gifts can make a significant difference. Together, we can ensure that our retired Assumptionists have a comfortable and safe place to live out their remaining years.

Join us in this important cause and make a lasting difference in the lives of those who have dedicated themselves to serving others.

We can create a safe and comfortable home for our retired Assumptionists. Please donate today and help us build a brighter future.

Thank you for your generosity and support.
