A Parents View
of a Missionary Child
Dan O'Neill, April 2004
As parents of faith, we work to pass on the faith to our children.
Jesus says in Luke 8-8 "And some seeds fell on good ground,
and when it grew, it produced fruit a hundredfold." Parents

Emily Green,
Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England...From August, 2001 to June,
2002, I was fortunate to have the wonderful experience of being
a lay volunteer for the Sisters of the Assumption, in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne,
England. I lived in a mixed community of Assumption sisters and
De La Salle brothers in a council house. I was told that living
in community would have a powerful effect on my sense of spirituality

of writing a brief reflection on me experiences over the past
seven months. More>>>

decadent. And yet, next door, across the street, and just around
the corner exist equally beautiful but tragically poor villages
containing twice or three times as many people. More>>>

New Mexico, 2003-2004 I can’t believe that my year
in Chaparral is almost over. Time passes soooo fast sometimes that
it is hard to keep track of everything I have lived and experienced
here. But, I can tell right now that it has been a very intensive
year for me.
When I came to New Mexico, I had no idea about what I was going
to be doing. In fact, I was the first volunteer the Sisters had
and so, for me, it was exciting to wait for what life was preparing
for me…More>>>
