The Situation: Migrants arriving at the U.S./Mexico border face unimaginable challenges. They traverse scorching deserts, often stripped of their possessions, hope, and even their families. St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church stands as a beacon of compassion, providing a haven for these weary travelers.
Here is how our volunteers who follow footsteps of our founder are working to make a difference in migrant’s life. Our volunteers are the lifeblood of our mission, embodying the compassion and dedication needed to support migrants in their time of greatest need. These selfless individuals devote countless hours to ensuring that our guests feel welcomed, cared for, and supported on their journey. They make sure that every penny, every material is accounted for the betterment of refuge’s situation.
Our Response: Our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to offer warmth, sustenance, and support. We provide warm meals, clothing, and a welcoming place where migrants can rest. But it doesn’t stop there. We assist them in finalizing travel plans and ensure safe transportation to airports and bus stations.

Each month, we open our doors to over 300 individuals. Yet, the demand continues to rise, and we cannot turn anyone away.
