In Chavakati, Uganda, the Assumptionists serve a young and growing parish community with limited resources but extraordinary faith. One of the most urgent needs today is the construction of permanent classrooms for children who otherwise would not have access to education.

Assumption Solidarity Campaign 2026

Each year, the Assumption Solidarity Campaign invites the communities of the congregation, lay Assumptionist groups, and Assumptionist works (parishes, educational institutions, etc.) to contribute to the financing of the selected project. In 2026, the project selected by the General Plenary Council is the electrification by solar panels of Radio Moto Oicha, one of the three radio stations for which the African Province in Kivu is responsible.

This weekend, we hosted our “Come to the Table Retreat”, lead by Deacon Elmer. We hope that the students who attended had a fruitful experience!
This week is a busy week in Campus Ministry! With the Reception after the 10am Mass on Sunday along with the Super Bowl Party in Pierre’s at 6pm, as well as a talk from Professor Klofft and his wife Bridget on Wednesday evening before Exposition and Confession and a Line Dancing Party in Pierre’s on Thursday, there’s a lot you won’t want to miss this week!

Hospitality & Super Bowl Sunday Schedule

4pm Mass (No 7pm)
The regularly scheduled 7pm mass is moved to 4pm this week as the New England Patriots play the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL.
Assumption University’s Campus Ministry invites you to Food After Mass to celebrate for the Super Bowl watch party following the 4pm Mass on February 8th, 2026. Food After Mass this weekend will be in Pierre’s Pub at 6:00pm.

Hey Hounds!
Last week was amazing; many of our student groups met for the first time, and we hosted a small retreat for our student leaders named “Called to Serve” on Friday night!
This weekend, we’re looking forward to hosting students and members of the Assumption community for our monthly Reception After Mass (RAM) after the 10am Mass on Sunday, as well as the Super Bowl party in the evening, starting at 6pm in Pierre’s. We hope to see you there!
This weekend, we will be celebrating the feast of the Presentation of the Lord. The icon is by Kelly Latimore.

The School of Theology (STH) is honored to announce the inaugural Fr. Vincent Machozi Colloquium, a new academic gathering dedicated to advancing dialogue and scholarship at the critical intersection of climate change, environmental justice, and conflict transformation on the African continent. The two-day conference, “Ecologies of Peacemaking”, in honor of martyr Fr. Vincent Machozi, AA (’15) will bring together scholars and practitioners from various international contexts affected by these major challenges.

It’s been a crazy week already! With the massive storm storm on Sunday and Monday behind us, we’re excited for the programming that will be going on the rest of the week. 
We’re excited to see the Patriots in the Super Bowl on February 8th! In order to accommodate Campus Ministry’s annual Super Bowl party, the 7pm Mass will be moved to 4pm on February 8th.
