I had my first contact with the Assumptionists in 2014 when the Assumptionists came to the Bunda diocese to run Murutunguru Parish, my home parish. I was impressed by the simplicity and the sense of welcoming of the first Assumptionists I met, especially Frs. Bahati Antigon, Jacques Mumbere, and Landry Kambere.

I was born on February 26, 1996, in Masaka, Uganda. I am the fifth of nine children in the late Ssenkumba Aloysious Musoke and Immaculate Naggayi family living in Kiwunga-Kyamuliibwa Parish. I received my nursery education from St. Benedict Primary School (2002-2003) and my primary education at St. Leonard Kyamulibwa Primary School (2004–2009). During these years, I began to explore my faith, growing to love the daily rosary and undertaking pilgrimages

I was born in the Philippines, the fifth of six children, all boys. My father, who died in 2000, was a policeman while my mother had been a teacher. I grew up in a very Catholic family, living near the parish church where I was an altar server.

Where did your Assumptionist roots begin? Did anyone in particular have a significant impact on your life?

We hope that this year’s Novena will enkindle in our parishioners, visitors and pilgrims “a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist”.
