On this first day of December, the members of the General House in Rome had to move the furniture to accommodate the 23 participants in the Economic Council of the Congregation (CEC) and the General Plenary Council (CGP), which was extended to include the three territorial vicars. It is a joy to welcome everyone and to be able to enjoy reunions, discoveries, and fruitful exchanges during these days.

It was an honor to join Bayard, Inc. USA in welcoming Bishop Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst during his visit to Worcester on October 06, 2025. The gathering marked a moment of joy, unity, and renewed commitment to serving the Church’s mission with faith and dedication. This special visit also coincided with Bayard’s 10th anniversary on the Assumption University campus.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, countless children grow up surrounded by poverty, conflict, and the dangers of the mines. For many, education is not guaranteed – it is a distant dream. Fr. Salvator Musande understands this reality personally.  Growing up in a small village with almost no access to schooling, he never imagined he would complete his education. But through the help of the Assumptionists working in his parish, everything changed.

While translating a book on Pope Leo XIV from English into Vietnamese (Pope Leo XIV), I was struck by the idea that everywhere is mission territory. “According to an Augustinian sister in Chiclayo [Peru], Bishop Prevost wasn’t sold on the idea of going back to Rome. He loved Peru, being a missionary bishop in a beautiful land of contrasts, being close to his flock.

We are not going to wait five years to do so. My editorial in the sixth issue of AA-info (October 2024) was entitled: “It is good that he is known!”

We, the Assumptionists in Africa, serve among the Maasai and Soncho people in the northern part of Tanzania, in the dry and harsh lands of Arusha. These are some of the poorest communities, struggling each day for water, food, and shelter. At St. Augustine of Hippo Parish, our mission is to bring faith, love, and hope to them — not only through prayer but through action.

On October 25, 2025, a heartfelt Remembrance Ceremony was held at the Notre Dame Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. This touching event honored all residents who passed away during the past year, including Fr. Roland Guilmain, A.A. The ceremony stood as a gentle reminder of how love, faith, and memory intertwine — celebrating the lives that have touched so many hearts.

A Fresh Start for Our Students
It’s a moment of joy and pride at Assumptionist High School, Nairobi, as we open the doors to our brand-new boys’ dormitory! After months of planning, construction, and dedication, our students finally moved into their new home on October 20th — just in time to begin a fresh school term.

A Joyful Celebration of the Parish Patron
On October 5th, the Guardian Angel Parish community in El Paso gathered in joy and thanksgiving to celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angel, the beloved patron of the parish. The church was beautifully filled with the spirit of faith, music, and devotion as parishioners came together to honor their Guardian Angel — a symbol of protection, guidance, and divine care.
