A Night of Light and New Life
At the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, the Assumptionist community gathered with the faithful at their parish in El Paso, Texas, to celebrate the heart of the Christian mystery: Christ’s victory over death and the promise of new life. Beginning in darkness and moving together into the light of the Easter candle, the community entered deeply into the beauty and hope of the Resurrection.
Celebrating the Sacraments of Initiation
A special moment of grace marked this year’s Vigil as three new brothers and sisters received the sacraments of initiation. Their joyful welcome into the life of the Church was a powerful reminder that Easter is not only remembered—it is lived anew in each generation through faith and commitment.
Sharing the Joy of Easter with Families
The celebration continued with a joyful Easter egg hunt for the children of the parish, a simple yet meaningful expression of the hope and renewal that Easter brings. Their laughter and excitement reflected the deeper joy of the night: Christ is risen, and new life is among us.
Hope Alive in the Mission
Even in a place marked by many challenges, the light of the Resurrection continues to shine through prayer, community, and the presence of families celebrating together. For the Assumptionist brothers serving in El Paso, the Triduum became a living witness of hope, communion, and faith in action. Truly, God is good—all the time.
