The Assumptionist Center in Brighton was abuzz with significance on May 30th, as the community came together for two meaningful events that embodied the spirit of the Assumptionist charism. At 5:00 PM, the celebration began with a poignant moment of commitment as Brother Baraka renewed his vows, reaffirming his dedication to his religious journey. This powerful gesture serves as a reminder of the enduring commitment that defines the Assumptionist way of life. May God bless and strengthen him on this path, guiding him in his service and devotion.
Later that evening, at 7:30 PM, the Assumptionist Center was filled with vibrant energy as young people from St. Columbkille parish took the stage to present the captivating Latin play “Jesus fights for you.” The audience of over 70 people was transported by the performance, which not only showcased talent and creativity but also fostered bonds of fraternity and community among all participants. The event’s dual purpose – to strengthen relationships and raise funds for Assumptionist formation – was beautifully achieved, demonstrating the power of shared purpose and collaborative spirit.
These two moments – Baraka’s vow renewal and the Latin play – stood as witnesses to the Assumptionist values of faith, community, and service. They reminded everyone present of the transformative power of commitment, creativity, and compassion. May these events inspire continued growth, dedication, and unity among the Assumptionist community and beyond.
