Theme: Who is My Neighbor?
Campus Ministry is happy to announce three exciting SEND opportunities for students in the 2023-2024 academic year! Trips will be offered during Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer (right after Commencement), and prices will range from approximately $400 to $1600.
We will return to El Paso, Texas where we will learn about the issues related to migration at the U.S./Mexico border and assist the Assumptionist priests and Religious of the Assumption Sisters with their ministry to migrants who are seeking asylum in the U.S. A new trip will be based in Mariandale, New York where we will serve at Midnight Run in New York City, the HOPE Program in New Rochelle and “CHOP” Food Pantry in Peekskill. And a brand new SEND opportunity will allow students to immerse themselves in service to our neighbors right here in Worcester through service at organizations including The Pernet Center, St. John’s Food for the Poor/St. Francis Xavier Center and Dismas Farm.
Interested students are encouraged to contact Dr. Jonathan Bezdegian (j.bezdegian@assumption.edu) for more information, even before the end of this semester. You can also visit his office: Tinsley 115. Financial aid is available, so don’t let concerns about the cost stop you from applying.
Plan now to participate in Assumption’s long-standing tradition of SEND service and immersion trips!
