Remembering those who have gone before us

Remembering the Faithfully Departed

October 14, 2022

Dear Partners in Mission,

Greetings in Christ! I hope this summer was a time of rest and peace for you. This August, our local communities celebrated our most important feasts of the Assumption and St. Augustine. Two brothers renewed their temporary promises on the feast of St. Augustine, and it was a reminder to us that even in difficult times, God can do something new in each of our lives; he can bring new moments of joy, hope, love, and strength.

While welcoming the new things that God is doing, we want to honor what he has done in the past, especially in the lives of those who have gone before us. On November 2nd, All Souls’ Day, we commemorate as a universal church all those who have died. We invite you to send us the names of your deceased loved ones so that we may remember them in our All Souls’ Day Mass as well as throughout the month of November. Simply reply to this email with your prayer intentions.

If you are able, we invite you to make a gift to support the various Assumptionist ministries in the United States. We thank you in advance for your generous consideration. If you prefer to make a gift online, please visit our donation page at www.assumption.us/aa-donate.

Yours in the Assumption,

Fr. Alex Castro, A.A.
Provincial Treasurer
