Gather around the fireplace in Pierre’s for a series of conversations on timely issues with other members of the Assumption community! Sponsored by Campus Ministry, the Cross Cultural Center, the Center for Purpose and Vocation and Counseling Services, the first Fireside Chat on “AU at the Border” will focus on the experience of Assumption faculty and students who have participated in the annual SEND trip to El Paso, Texas. Conversation partners will be Allison Campoverde ’28, Professor David Crowley and Professor Smriti Rao, and the moderator will be Deacon Paul Covino. There will be free snacks and the bar will be open to purchase drinks. The event is just an hour (5-6 PM on Thursday, March 13), so stop by on your way to dinner or on your way home! All students, faculty and staff are welcome.
First Thursday Bagels this Thursday, March 13
Due to Spring Break, First Thursday Bagels in March will be on the second Thursday: March 13. From 9:00 to 10:30 AM, join other members of the Assumption community for a free, fresh New York style bagel (from Worcester’s Bagel Time) with assorted varieties of cream cheese, Fair Trade coffee and tea, and conversation in the Lauring Community Room in the Tinsley Campus Ministry. Get your day off to a great start…in the company of friends!
Campus Ministry Brunch Celebration for Students on Sunday, March 23
The Campus Ministry staff is hosting a brunch celebration for all students who have had any involvement with Campus Ministry this year: 12-2 PM on Sunday, March 23 in Pierre’s. If you’ve been to Mass, the Blessing of Healing Hands, the Student Athlete Candlelight Reflection, First Thursday Bagels, Bible Study, a SEND trip, Food After Mass, or any of the groups and other activities sponsored by Campus Ministry, you are invited to this celebration! After sharing a delicious brunch, we’ll reflect on the mission of Campus Ministry and how every student can contribute to that mission in simple but important ways. In addition to a free brunch, each student will receive a t-shirt. Please RSVP by March 16 to Una Murphy.
