Through years of local donations and immense personal sacrifice, the main parish church in this rural mission has finally been completed. For many years, the faithful gathered for Mass in open fields and temporary shelters — exposed to harsh weather conditions and without basic safety or dignity. Today, a church stands. But the mission is far from complete.
A Church Built by Sacrifice
This parish was not built with large institutional funding or wealthy benefactors. It was built through faith. Local families gave what little they had — time, labor, and small offerings — often at real personal cost. Their commitment has made the completion of the main church possible, marking a historic milestone for the community.
The Work Still Ahead
While the main structure now stands, several essential needs remain unmet. Without these, parish life and pastoral care continue under difficult conditions.
The current priorities include:
• Completion of essential remaining sections of the parish church
• Construction of basic parish toilet facilities for the community
• Support for the construction of St. Ann Catholic Church, Mkuki, in the Rift Valley region
A Community That Relies on Faith
These communities are not supported by large institutions. They rely almost entirely on faith, generosity, and solidarity. What has already been accomplished is a testament to resilience and belief — but the next steps cannot be taken alone.
An Invitation to Journey Together
We now invite others to walk this journey with the people of Mkuki and the wider Rift Valley region. Every contribution, no matter the size, directly supports dignity, safety, and a stable place of worship. Your support helps ensure that these parishes are not only built, but sustained for generations to come.
