It was a joyous celebration on August 24th at St.Anne-St.Patrick’s, in Fiskdale, when six new Lay Assumptionists made their commitments to the Assumption. Amidst a meaningful celebration of the liturgy in the Pavilion, the six men and women were joined by their fellow Lay Assumptionists and the parish community.
They were commissioned by Fr. Chi Ai Nguyen, Provincial Superior, who asked “Together with your Assumptionist brothers, do you wish to lead a life that is welcoming, open to diversity, and respectful of the gifts of all?” After receiving their pins, the group recited the commitment formula, along with all the Lay Assumptionists present.
Following the liturgy, a reception was held in The Rendezvous of St. Joachim’s Chapel. Many joined in offering congratulations to the newly commissioned Lay Assumptionists.
