A Joyful Sunday Celebration
Sunday began with our brothers joining the parish community of Sts. Peter and Paul for the celebration of the Eucharist. More than 200 children received their First Holy Communion, making it a joyful and memorable occasion for the entire community. Although the liturgy was celebrated in Swahili, the beauty of the celebration, the prayer of the faithful, and the joy shared by everyone spoke a language that needed no translation.
The Joy of the Gospel
The Mass was filled with vibrant music, movement, and heartfelt worship. Witnessing the faith of the local Church reminded us that the Gospel unites people across every culture and language. As St. Augustine teaches, our hearts are made by God and for God, and only in Him do we find true rest. It was a grace-filled reminder that Christ continues to gather His people into one family.
Fraternity and Cultural Discovery
In the afternoon, some of the brothers explored the city and visited a local Maasai market, discovering more of Tanzania’s rich culture and traditions. The day concluded with a joyful dinner shared in fraternity, giving thanks for the many blessings received throughout the day and for the gift of mission lived together.
