Celebrated at Guardian Angel Parish, El Paso, Texas — a day of faith, unity, and celebration
A Joyful Celebration of the Parish Patron
On October 5th, the Guardian Angel Parish community in El Paso gathered in joy and thanksgiving to celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angel, the beloved patron of the parish. The church was beautifully filled with the spirit of faith, music, and devotion as parishioners came together to honor their Guardian Angel — a symbol of protection, guidance, and divine care.
The celebration began with a solemn and heartfelt Mass celebrated by Father Ronald, with Father Rodel assisting at the altar. Together, they led the congregation in prayer and reflection, reminding everyone of the powerful presence of God’s angels in our lives. The liturgy was filled with moments of peace and gratitude, as families and friends joined in this special parish feast.
Blessing of the Pilgrims
In addition to the feast, the parish also marked a meaningful moment — the blessing of the pilgrims departing from El Paso for the Jubilee Program in Italy. The congregation prayed over the pilgrims, sending them forth with blessings for a safe and spiritually enriching journey.
Father Ronald, who will be traveling with the group on Monday, received special prayers from the community as well. The blessing served as a beautiful reminder that the parish, though rooted locally, is connected in spirit with the universal Church.
A Joyful Birthday Celebration
Adding to the day’s joy, the community also took the opportunity to celebrate Father Ronald’s birthday. After the Mass, warm wishes, smiles, and songs filled the air as parishioners expressed their love and appreciation for their pastor. It was a touching moment that reflected the deep bond shared between Father Ronald and the community he shepherds with care and dedication.
A Day Filled with Faith and Togetherness
The Feast of the Guardian Angel this year became more than just a parish tradition — it was a day that united the community in faith, gratitude, and joy. From honoring their heavenly patron to blessing the pilgrims and celebrating their beloved pastor, every moment was a testament to the strength and warmth of the Guardian Angel Parish family.
As the day came to a close, hearts were full, spirits were lifted, and the words of the psalm rang true for all: “He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.” — Psalm 91:11
