In the Democratic Republic of Congo, countless children grow up surrounded by poverty, conflict, and the dangers of the mines. For many, education is not guaranteed – it is a distant dream. Fr. Salvator Musande understands this reality personally.
Growing up in a small village with almost no access to schooling, he never imagined he would complete his education. But through the help of the Assumptionists working in his parish, everything changed. They supported him, encouraged him, and helped him stay in school. Education opened doors he never believed were possible.
Today, Fr. Salvator shares the mission of the Assumptionists: offering education, safety, hope, and dignity to the poorest and most vulnerable youth. This documentary highlights how education saves lives, protects children from exploitation, and rebuilds communities across Congo.
