The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Roman Catholic holyday of obligation and the patronal feast of Assumption University, will be celebrated on Thursday, August 15. Services in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit will be Morning Prayer at 8 AM, Mass at 12 Noon and Evening Prayer at 5:35 PM
On the Solemnity of the Assumption, “we profess our belief that Mary has gone before us, body and soul, into heaven. For her, the resurrection of the dead has taken place already.
