In Nairobi, Kenya, Magalie Yolanda Torres-Rowe has been sharing her joy and faith with the children of the Catechesis Program. In the churches managed by us, the Assumptionists (Augustinians), she is teaching them a simple yet meaningful song in Spanish: “Hola Jesús, eres mi amigo” — “Hello Jesus, You Are My Friend.”
This joyful song reminds the children that Jesus is close, a true friend who walks with them every day. Through teaching and singing, Magalie helps them experience faith in a way that is alive and heartfelt.
The children are preparing to sing it together for the Feast of St. Rita in the parish. Their voices will rise as a celebration of love, hope, and unity—simple moments that carry the mission forward.
In Nairobi, as everywhere the Assumptionists serve, these small seeds of faith—songs, smiles, and community—grow into a living testimony of God’s love.
