Day 1 Highlights: All the pilgrims arrived safely, full of excitement and energy! For the next three days, we’re staying at the Josefino Retreat House, close to Emperatriz Parish in Mexico City. Fr. Sebastien led our Opening Mass, blessing the pilgrims as we began our journey. We spent the day exploring the Centro Historico, visiting the Cathedral, Templo Mayor, Zocalo, and the Bellas Artes Museum. We also took in the beauty of the Soumaya Museum. Dr. Ramirez gave us a powerful talk on the devotion to Guadalupe, its history, and its significance. We were joined by the Religious of the Assumption Sisters for the lecture and dinner. We ended the day with a candlelight Night Prayer, filled with gratitude and preparing our hearts for tomorrow’s pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. As we extinguished our candles in silence, we kept your intentions close in our prayers.
