Today, on the Feast of St. Monica, a special moment of grace and commitment was celebrated at Emmanuel’s House of the Augustinians of the Assumption in Nairobi, Kenya, Africa.
Brothers Kasereka Visoma Pontine and Arsene Vwapasingo Katenho, both from the Democratic Republic of Congo, renewed their annual vows in the presence of Father Bernard, Vice-Provincial of Kenya.
It is also inspiring to note that Emmanuel’s House is home to 28 seminarians, all discerning and preparing for their mission as Assumptionists. The community is guided by its Superior, Father Rakotoarilala Louis Martin, who leads with dedication and care.
This renewal of vows is a profound expression of faith, dedication, and perseverance. By recommitting themselves to the Assumptionist mission, Brothers Kasereka and Arsene are continuing their journey of service—rooted in community life, prayer, and the mission of walking with those most in need.
The Feast of St. Monica, known for her faith, perseverance, and devotion, provided a fitting backdrop to this important step. Her witness reminds us that commitment to God’s call is both a gift and a responsibility, lived out daily in acts of service and love.
We give thanks for the dedication of Brothers Kasereka and Arsene and pray that their renewed vows bring strength and joy to their mission. May the Lord continue to bless their journey and inspire many through their witness here in Nairobi, Africa and beyond.
