On October 25, 2025, a heartfelt Remembrance Ceremony was held at the Notre Dame Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. This touching event honored all residents who passed away during the past year, including Fr. Roland Guilmain, A.A. The ceremony stood as a gentle reminder of how love, faith, and memory intertwine — celebrating the lives that have touched so many hearts.

A Fresh Start for Our Students
It’s a moment of joy and pride at Assumption High School, Nairobi, as we open the doors to our brand-new boys’ dormitory! After months of planning, construction, and dedication, our students finally moved into their new home on October 20th — just in time to begin a fresh school term.

A Joyful Celebration of the Parish Patron
On October 5th, the Guardian Angel Parish community in El Paso gathered in joy and thanksgiving to celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angel, the beloved patron of the parish. The church was beautifully filled with the spirit of faith, music, and devotion as parishioners came together to honor their Guardian Angel — a symbol of protection, guidance, and divine care.

During Assumption University’s Homecoming Weekend on October 24, the campus community came together to celebrate one of its most beloved and enduring figures — Fr. Dennis Gallagher, A.A. ’69, who was inducted into the Assumption Athletics Hall of Fame.

Father Gerard Messier, A.A., 93, died Saturday, October 25, 2025. He served Assumption as French professor at both Assumption Prep School and at Assumption College (1959-1970). Reflecting on Fr. Gerard’s life, Fr. Dennis Gallagher, A.A., Assumption Vice President for Mission, recalled Fr. Gerard’s love for the arts where he directed theater productions from Shakespeare to Claudel and Becket.

When Assumptionist volunteer Peter McLan speaks about his time at the migrant shelter in Juárez, Mexico, you can hear both compassion and conviction in his voice. Based in El Paso, Peter has spent the last several months crossing the border with fellow Assumptionists to help where the need is greatest. What they found in Juárez was not just a shelter—it was a community waiting to be rebuilt.
